Celebrated Translations -- The Time Machine The Invisibility Cloak (Color Illustrations Edition)

Publish Date: 2006-03-01
Features: To provide readers with an ideal edition of world literary classics, we have organized and published this series of color-illustrated classic works, "The World Classics Library." This library has the following three major features:
1. Renowned Translators and Translations
"Renowned Translators and Translations" refers to two aspects: one is that the translators are famous translation scholars both domestically and internationally; the other is that the translations are of first-class quality, highly influential, and widely recognized as excellent editions, representing the translation level of the classics in China and the creative level of the translators. Through this effort, we aim to change the current situation in China where translations of world literary classics are mixed with substandard works, even to the extent of plagiarism, leaving readers confused and unable to discern quality.
2. Illustrated and Engaging
Each classic is accompanied by two types of illustrations: one is a set of color illustrations before the main text, mostly precious images related to the author, the work, and the historical context; the other is a set of black-and-white illustrations based on the plot of the work. Through these illustrations, readers are not only immersed in a pleasant and relaxed reading atmosphere but also gain a comprehensive and vivid understanding of the rich connotations of world literary classics.
3. Comprehensive Annotations
The compilers systematically include key character lists, author chronologies, and other content in each translated work, complemented by the translator’s precise annotations. This helps readers overcome reading obstacles and learn relevant knowledge, enabling them to read world literary classics comprehensively, deeply, and efficiently.
We hope that this series of color-illustrated classics, "The World Classics Library," will become a lifelong mentor and companion for readers.
