Features: The early great revolution in Western modern painting art was the effort to discard the gradually refined perspective techniques and the imitation of "nature" since the Renaissance. After explorations by Impressionists, Post-Impressionists, Fauvists, and Cubists, modern people have, to some extent, changed the way they view painting. Since Post-Impressionism, modern painting has taken a path of continuous exploration, innovation, experimentation, and rejection of tradition. What we see is that the rules of traditional painting art have been almost overturned. Modern artists have striven to break the spatial awareness established by classicism in representation over the years, as well as the rigid and unchanging mindset, freeing themselves from the narrative nature and thematic dependence of painting. Exploring the possibilities of new painting language models and the expressiveness of painting language have made this period the most vibrant time for the exploration of painting's formal language.
