Features: Yuan Xuejun, born in Huizhou, Guangdong in 1967. Graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Painting from the Chinese Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Studied in the Master's Program in Fine Arts at the Chinese Academy of Art Research from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, attended the Longrui Art Studio of the Chinese Painting Research Institute. In 2005, was admitted as a Ph.D. candidate in the Chinese Landscape Painting Creation and Research at the Chinese Academy of Art Research, studying under Longrui. Currently serves as the Vice President of the China Cross-Strait Cultural and Art Foundation, a member of the China Collectors Association, and a National Level 2 Fine Arts Master.
In 1994, his work "Red Land" won the Excellence Award at the "Contemporary Chinese Youth Chinese Painting Exhibition." In 1998, his work "Lingnan Abounds in Fine Fruits" won the Gold Medal at the "First Guangdong Provincial Youth Fine Arts Exhibition." In 1998, his work "Red Land · Youlong Mountain Villa" was selected for the "First Guangdong Provincial Chinese Painting Exhibition." In 1999, his work "Spring Comes to Guangdong" won the Bronze Award at the "Contemporary Chinese Youth Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition." In 1999, his work "Great Dragon's Majestic Wind" won the Excellence Award at the "National Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting Exhibition Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and Welcoming the Return of Macau." In 2003, his work "Kui Gate, the World's Mightiest" participated in the "China Cross-Strait Modern and Contemporary Famous Artists Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition (Taipei)." In 2004, his work "Spring Mountains, Clouds Rising" won the Excellence Award at the "2004 National Painting Exhibition." His works have been collected by the National Museum of China, the Mao Zedong Memorial Hall, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, the Danish Embassy, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Sony Company of Japan, Shell Company of the Netherlands, and others. Media such as CCTV, Phoenix TV, Guangdong TV, Sina News, and others have made special reports on him. His works and papers have been published in magazines such as "Art Observation," "China Culture News," "China Calligraphy and Painting," "Art," "Rongbaozhai," "Galleries," "Eastern Art," and "United Daily." He has published seven personal art books, including "Yuan Xuejun Landscape Painting Collection."
