Features: Pharmaceutical analysis (traditionally referred to as drug testing) is a discipline that employs chemical, physical, biological, and microbiological methods and techniques to study the quality of synthetic or natural drugs and their preparations with well-defined chemical structures. It includes the chemical testing of drug products, quality control during drug production, quality assessment during drug storage, clinical drug analysis, in vivo drug analysis, and more. This book is divided into two parts. The first part primarily introduces content such as drug identification, impurity testing, content determination, and formulation analysis. The second part introduces the quality standards of some basic drugs currently used domestically (and internationally), including identification, testing, and content determination. When introducing drug quality standards, it follows the National Essential Drugs of 2004 as a reference, detailing them by drug category. Additionally, to facilitate readers in searching for drugs, an index is arranged alphabetically by the Pinyin initials of drug names. This book focuses on the practical techniques of pharmaceutical analysis and can serve as a reference for inspection, production, and management personnel in the pharmaceutical production, quality control, and other industries and departments, as well as for faculty, students, and researchers in relevant fields of higher education institutions.
