Features: This edition of the textbook is revised based on the fifth edition, with a similar framework and basic content to maintain continuity. The main changes include: 1. New concepts have been added to relevant chapters in line with disciplinary progress. For example: proteomics, RNA interference, protein conformational diseases, enzymatic DNA, etc. 2. Some chapters have been adjusted. For example: "Introduction" is not numbered; the original Chapter 23 "Common Techniques in Molecular Biology and the Human Genome Project" has been split into two independent chapters: "Principles and Applications of Common Molecular Biology Techniques" and "Genomics and Medicine," with additional content added. 3. The text and figures of some chapters have been revised, and to enhance readability, some illustrations in this book have been printed in color and compiled at the back. 4. To facilitate teaching and learning for instructors and students, each book is accompanied by a teaching resource CD-ROM. This textbook is primarily aimed at five-year medical undergraduates, with also suitable for students in seven- and eight-year programs. Some content in Part Four may still be selected for lecture based on the specific circumstances of each institution.
