This book can meet your needs. We believe it can broaden your business path and become a good helper for your success. With the continuous deepening of medical system reform, the shift from public medical expenses to medical insurance, and the rapid development of community healthcare, pharmacies, as convenient and beneficial business venues with promising economic prospects, are increasing in number. However, medicines are a special type of commodity. How to manage and operate them is governed by systematic and strict national policies and regulations, as well as unique business practices. Operators and managers not only need to possess certain pharmaceutical knowledge and skills but also should master specific business and management techniques, along with pharmaceutical policies and regulations related to pharmacy management. Only in this way can better economic and social benefits be achieved. This book is written with this purpose in mind, and we believe it can broaden your business path and become a good helper for your success!
This book is based on the relevant regulations issued by the state in 2001, such as the New "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Drugs," the "Implementation Rules for the Quality Management Standards of Drug Operations," and the "Provisional Regulations on the Establishment of Retail Pharmacies," and summarizes experience in setting up pharmacies. It primarily discusses planning for opening a pharmacy and issues related to pharmacy management and operation; introduces rules, business strategies, and basic pharmaceutical knowledge in drug management; and provides descriptions of 1,030 commonly used drugs, including 698 Western prescription drugs, 108 traditional Chinese herbal medicines, 164 Western over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, and 160 Chinese patent medicines. The OTC drug section is based on the "National OTC Drug Catalogue" (first batch) to meet readers' needs for reference in their work. The appendices of this book summarize current and upcoming pharmaceutical policies and regulations related to pharmacy management; they also include the dosage and extreme limit tables for listed and special drugs under the national basic medical insurance, as well as English labels on imported drug packaging, all of which can be consulted at any time for urgent needs.
