Features: Since the promulgation of the "Outline for the Reform of Basic Education Curriculum" by the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the "Outline"), China has achieved remarkable progress in educational and curriculum reform. Under the guidance of new educational concepts and strategies, the teaching models of secondary school teachers have undergone significant changes, yielding many important results and summarizing a wealth of valuable experiences. Major theoretical innovations have also emerged in educational scientific research. Currently, the in-depth implementation of the experimental high school curriculum standards textbooks is further advancing curriculum reform to a new climax. It can be said that the trial use of high school curriculum standards experimental textbooks marks the moment when China's basic education reform and curriculum reform have entered a critical battle. To promote the use of high school history curriculum standards experimental textbooks and implement the objectives of basic education curriculum reform proposed in the "Outline," as well as the grand goals outlined in the "Decision on Implementing the Development Strategy of Capital Education and Taking the Lead in Achieving Basic Educational Modernization" and the "Development Plan for Capital Education 2010" by the Beijing Education Conference, we have specially compiled the book "Reform and Innovation—Research and Use of the General High School History Curriculum Standards Experimental Textbooks." Through the publication of this book, we hope to enhance horizontal exchanges and collaboration between Beijing and various experimental regions, actively learn advanced experiences and exemplary practices from other provinces and cities, and lay the foundation for the use of the new high school history textbooks in Beijing.
