Features: Although most species of antlions live in forested areas, not every type of forest can meet their survival conditions; it must be suitable for them. Some rare and endangered species often inhabit relatively primitive and dense forests with a mix of various shrubs and trees, where there is no human interference, allowing them to develop naturally. It is clear that the existence of forests is crucial for the survival of antlions. Conversely, these ideal environments, which can be considered a paradise for various insects, will directly reduce or eliminate their habitats and food sources if they are destroyed. As we know, humans lived in forests in primitive times, and forests provided everything necessary for their survival. Through long-term evolution, although humans have moved out of the forests, they still rely on forests for many aspects of care. Therefore, it can be said that forests are not only a paradise for antlions to thrive but also a paradise for humans to thrive. Today, with the development of human history and the changes of the times, large areas of forests are decreasing year by year. In addition to natural disasters, the destruction of forest land is also caused by the improvement of human living environments, the continuous expansion of cities, the ongoing development of farmland, and the construction of various water conservancy facilities, all of which contribute to the rapid reduction of forests. The persistence of this phenomenon makes it increasingly difficult to find antlions with unique morphological features, bright colors, and high ornamental value in the wild. The original rare species have disappeared, while common species have become rare. If this continues, the living space of antlions will gradually be lost, and their populations will gradually face extinction. Therefore, protecting forests effectively protects the habitats of antlions. As long as the survival environment of antlions is restored, their species will not go extinct, their populations will continue to thrive, and the paradise for antlions to thrive will continue to strengthen and expand.
