It is the result of the compilers' meticulous work, based on the vocabulary list from the newly published "2006 National Master's Entrance Unified English Examination Syllabus" (hereinafter referred to as the "Syllabus"). The book covers all postgraduate entrance vocabulary in the Syllabus. It is divided into four parts:
Part 1: "Foundation Vocabulary for Postgraduate Entrance" (1,743 words) falls within the scope of the "Syllabus" and can be fully mastered by candidates on Day 1.
Part 2: "Core Vocabulary for Postgraduate Entrance" (3,960 words) also falls within the scope of the "Syllabus" and is the part where candidates should spend the most time and effort. It is recommended that candidates memorize this section from Day 2 to Day 46.
Part 3: "Essential Expansion Vocabulary for Postgraduate Entrance" (228 words) falls outside the scope of the "Syllabus" but is essential for postgraduate entrance and can be grasped at a glance. It is recommended that candidates memorize this section on Days 47 and 48.
Part 4: "High-Score Vocabulary for Postgraduate Entrance" (767 words) also falls outside the scope of the "Syllabus" and is the part candidates should tackle if they have extra time and aim for high scores. It can be grasped at a glance. It is recommended that candidates memorize this section on Days 49 and 50.
Additionally, in the appendix, we have included a "Vocabulary Gap Table between Postgraduate Entrance and CET-6" (205 words) for reference by candidates who have taken the CET-6 exam.
For this revised edition, the compilers have arranged 11 short passages in the "Core Vocabulary for Postgraduate Entrance" section to provide specific guidance on vocabulary review. The content of these passages is the essence and key techniques of vocabulary memorization, offering candidates solutions and helping them improve their learning efficiency rapidly.
