Features: The murder begins with a note. Walter is the maintenance worker at York Square, where the residential complexes are now divided among four living heirs of the York family. These four are: the sharp-tongued and meticulous Robert York, the gentle and beautiful but dull Maura York, Emily York, who has turned her luxurious residence into a spartan religious retreat, and Pascal York—the playboy, gambler, and alcoholic. Their lives are threatened by a mysterious figure "Y"—but who is "Y"? In many ways, this book tells extraordinary stories. Not only is it set in a unique location and features thrilling plots, but there are at least two outstanding characters throughout—handsome Ellery Queen and his father, Richard Queen.
