Features: As one of the series textbooks for vocational and technical college testing majors, this book is designed based on the training objectives of vocational and technical colleges. It follows the principles of "five characteristics" and "three basics" to briefly introduce the main content of clinical medicine. The purpose is to enable students to grasp and understand the overall situation of clinical medicine in a relatively short time and recognize the role and significance of testing in clinical medicine. The book consists of 15 chapters and can be mainly divided into four parts.
① Concept and Development History of Clinical Medicine (Chapter 1): It outlines the concept of medicine, the relationship between clinical medicine and medicine, the main content of clinical medicine, as well as the origin and brief history of clinical medicine, especially the role and status of laboratory medicine in the history of medicine.
② Basic Medical Knowledge (Chapters 2 and 3): It mainly introduces the basic knowledge of normal human structure and function that should be mastered by testing professionals, with a focus on anatomy and physiology.
③ Basic Elements of Clinical Work (Chapter 4): It briefly introduces the basic elements that must be involved in clinical work, including diseases, patients, medical staff, medical institutions, diagnosis, treatment, and medical record writing standards, providing students with a preliminary understanding of the future work environment.
④ Common Diseases in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, etc. (Chapters 5–15): It briefly introduces the concepts, main causes and pathogenesis, main clinical manifestations, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, common diagnostic methods, and treatment principles of common diseases in various clinical departments, highlighting the parts closely related to testing.
In terms of content selection, the book follows the principle of "comprehensive yet concise" and retains as much practical and knowledge-intensive content as possible, especially that related to testing. For some profound but valuable knowledge, it provides an in-depth yet accessible introduction. In terms of content organization, it emphasizes the continuity of knowledge, not only focusing on the coherence between different parts of the book but also considering the connection with secondary school knowledge, progressing gradually and from simple to complex, so that readers can naturally grasp the content. The expression is clear, well-structured, logical, and concise. The writing and publication of this book have been greatly supported by People's Military Medical Press and have also received strong assistance from the units where the editors are located. All the editors have made great efforts in manuscript collection, text organization, figure design, and revision. The completion of this book has experts' wisdom and hard work, which cannot be listed one by one here. We express our gratitude at this time of its publication. Due to the relatively short time of manuscript completion, although it has been carefully written, there may still be omissions. We sincerely welcome readers' corrections for improvement in the next edition.
