Features: Founded in 1904, Huanggang High School in Hubei Province was designated as a key high school in Hubei in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in the National Spirit Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, virtue-based education" and has developed a distinctive approach to nurturing students, characterized by "comprehensive development + special talents." It has explored a teaching style of "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and pursuing innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural result of its long-term implementation of quality education, and only a part of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What is its ability to turn sand into a tower? What is its skill in transforming ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test-setters and deeply grasp the underlying principles, becoming a leader rather than a blind follower.
Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates that students break free from it. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and monotonous exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to tackle flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving.
If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged a strong team of teachers, including renowned educators in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and outstanding teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of four series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Materials."
The "Huanggang High School Homework Books" series is based on the "Teaching Syllabus" and "Exam Syllabus," highlighting the role of "homework" in helping students develop learning abilities, problem-solving skills, and exam-taking abilities. It reflects the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' exceptional performance in various exams and their rigorous daily practice.
This series features a carefully designed format, including four major sections: "Pre-Class Warm-up," "In-Class Homework," "After-Class Homework," and "Exam Online," which provide intensive training to improve students' abilities. It also has the following features:
1. Appropriate Exercise Placement: The exercises are arranged to reinforce and progressively enhance the key points, types of questions, and methods associated with each topic. The series aims to elevate students' problem-solving skills through progressive, ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive exercises.
2. Moderate Difficulty Gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and difficult questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of most middle schools. Most questions are labeled with A, B, or C to indicate their difficulty levels, ensuring clarity and appropriateness.
3. Detailed Solution Tips: The answers at the back of the book are well-balanced, with detailed solutions provided for difficult questions. It is worth mentioning that the insightful hints sometimes play a pivotal role in guiding students.
This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the exercises, with rigorous review and proofreading to strive to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market. Despite these efforts, the series may still contain errors or inaccuracies. We sincerely invite all readers to point them out, helping us to continuously improve.
