Features: Enhancing students' comprehensive qualities and developing their individual strengths cannot be achieved through last-minute cramming or by detaching from reality and forcing growth. The development of students' intelligence and the improvement of their abilities is a gradual, long-term training process that spirals upwards. To support the development of extracurricular mathematics activities in primary schools and to provide students with systematic training in mathematical Olympiad content, the authors have organized a group of experienced teachers to write this series. Through the unique "one example, three exercises" format, it helps students systematically master the entire content of mathematical Olympiads, broaden their knowledge horizons, master problem-solving methods and techniques, and improve their exam and competition skills. This series strives to embody the following characteristics:
Comprehensive and Spiral Progression. The series covers the entire content of primary school mathematical Olympiads, breaking it down by grade level, with 120 topics per grade, each serving as a training session. It also pays attention to the connection between grades, reflecting levels and gradients.
Rooted in Basics, Focused on Improvement. Following the sequence of general textbooks (such as PEP and Jiangsu Education Press), the topics are designed based on students' actual knowledge structure and cognitive development, enabling them to expand their training after mastering basic textbook knowledge.
One Example, Three Exercises—Learn by Example. Each topic selects representative problems from a vast pool of questions. The "Solution" provides analysis and guidance; the "Detailed Explanation" offers thorough or alternative solutions; and the "Tips" summarizes and deepens the methods and techniques related to the example. Accompanying each example are three practice questions ("Good Problems for Practice") that align with the knowledge points, helping students develop the ability to apply what they've learned to new situations.
Keeping Pace with the Times. The examples and exercises incorporate recent question types from various regional mathematical competitions, reflecting timeliness, (fun), openness, exploration, and practicality. They also emphasize connections to real-life scenarios, guiding students to learn and apply mathematics in daily life.
