Features: In my childhood, I was full of curiosity about everything. With that eagerness to try, I did many things. But what I can never forget is a foolish thing I did—cutting my dad's eyebrows. At that time, I was still young, only six years old. One summer afternoon, Dad was napping with me, but I couldn’t fall asleep. I don’t know if it was too hot or if I had too much energy, but lying in bed, I tossed and turned, looking around, always wanting to find something to do. The dad beside me, however, had already fallen asleep with snoring.
I carefully watched Dad and suddenly noticed his eyebrows were very long, with a few especially long ones. Then, a mischievous idea popped into my head: I’d cut Dad’s eyebrows. I rolled out of bed, found scissors, and was about to start, but hesitated. I thought: If I cut off the eyebrows, will they grow back? Then I thought: People cut their hair when it gets too long, and eyebrows are similar to hair, right? So, I gently brought the scissors close to Dad’s eyebrows, carefully lined them up, and heard a "snip." The eyebrows were cut off.
Dad, still asleep, seemed to sense something and rolled over, but then fell back asleep. I took a deep breath and looked—oh no, I’d cut them too short, they looked terrible! What should I do? If Dad saw, he’d be angry. Thinking this, I quickly pretended to be calm and lay back in bed, wondering: Will Dad scold me if he wakes up? As I thought about it, I gradually fell asleep.
"Ah, my eyebrows!" After a while, I was woken up by Dad’s scream. I quickly ran over. It turned out that when Dad woke up and was washing his face, he looked in the mirror and noticed his eyebrows were short and very noticeable, looking awful.
Looking at Dad’s bewildered expression, I was terrified. "What’s going on?" Dad frowned and asked. "I—I wanted to cut off your very long eyebrows, but I cut them too short! But Dad, your eyebrows will grow back, please—" Before I could finish, Dad said anxiously and helplessly, "What? How could you—ah—" Seeing my timid look, Dad didn’t say much more. After all, I was his precious treasure!
I seized the chance to lift my face and gave Dad a kiss, cooing, "Dad, now your eyebrows will grow back very quickly." Hearing my words and seeing my foolish yet clever self, Dad’s face, which was torn between laughing and crying, finally relaxed. I love my childhood. Every time I think about the foolish things I did, I can’t help but laugh. I love my elders because they gave me a wonderful childhood.
