Features: This series of textbooks is designed for the MBA education curriculum in China, developed by middle-aged and young experts with high levels of teaching and research expertise and extensive experience in corporate consulting and management. We hope that the publication of this series will contribute to revitalizing Chinese MBA education in the 21st century. This book is part of the higher education MBA series textbooks. It is divided into five units: Unit 1 introduces the general concepts of leadership, Unit 2 discusses personal leadership, Unit 3 discusses team leadership, Unit 4 discusses Western leadership theories, and Unit 5 discusses applied leadership. Each unit overview includes the following content: the concepts of leadership, leaders, and followers; the difference between leadership and management; the content of leadership studies, leadership, and leadership art; power and its sources. Unit 2 focuses on personal leadership, emphasizing the development of personal influence through emotional intelligence. Familiarize yourself with the basic principles and main assumptions of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and learn the basic methods of managing emotions. Unit 3 introduces value-based leadership and team theory, focusing on building high-performance teams based on values. Unit 4 introduces the main theories of Western leadership studies, including leadership trait theory, leadership behavior theory, leadership contingency theory, leadership charisma theory, transactional and transformational leadership, dual leadership theory, Level 5 leadership, servant leadership, and participative leadership. Unit 5 focuses on applied leadership, discussing the following topics: how to be a top leader, how to be a deputy leader, the art of communication, rewards and criticism, time management, and the 80/20 rule. Based on leadership theory and oriented toward practice, this textbook is suitable as a teaching material for MBA and undergraduate students in leadership studies, as well as a reference for business management training personnel.
