Patient's question:
NoDoctor's answer:
It is possible to have a vaginal birth with a fungal vaginal infection. Normal healthy women have natural defense mechanisms against pathogens due to the anatomical characteristics of the vagina. When the natural defense function of the vagina is compromised, pathogens can easily invade, leading to vaginal inflammation. This is often caused by trichomoniasis, fungal vaginitis, or bacterial vaginitis caused by other miscellaneous bacteria. Generally, it does not affect normal delivery.
