Features: Zhong Jingwen (1903-) was born in Haifeng, Guangdong. He graduated from Guangdong Lu'an Normal School in 1922. In 1926, he joined Lingnan University and attended courses such as "Introduction to Confucian Studies" and "Introduction to Literature" in the Chinese Department, while also engaging in prose writing. In the autumn of 1927, he transferred to Sun Yat-sen University as an assistant professor, concurrently teaching preparatory Chinese. In 1930, he co-founded the Chinese Folklore Society with friends, advancing the development of this discipline in China. In the spring of 1934, he went to Japan for graduate studies at Waseda University in Tokyo, researching mythology and folklore. He returned to China in 1936. In 1941, he returned to the College of Liberal Arts at Sun Yat-sen University and served as an associate professor. In May 1949, he went to Beijing to prepare for the first session of the Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles and attended the conference, where he was elected as an alternate member of the National Federation of Literary and Art Circles and a standing committee member of the Federation of Literary Workers.
