She was also a council member of the China Theatre Association, vice chairman of the Henan Provincial Theatre Association, president of the Henan Provincial Qu Opera Professional Research Committee, advisor to the "Liyuan Chun" Art Troupe of Henan Television, and honorary chairman of the Henan Provincial Qu Opera Troupe. She began learning the art at the age of 7, debuted on stage at 8, and became famous at 9, earning the nickname "Nine-Year-Old Red." She is the most prominent female Qu Opera artist in Henan, making outstanding contributions to the formation and development of Qu Opera. Her singing style is high-pitched, powerful, and rich in charm, while her performances are precise, delicate, and vivid. She has a unique artistic style and once captivated the entire Nanyang region, most of Henan, and areas such as Laohekou, Shashi, and Wuhan in Hubei. She was hailed as the "Queen of Qu Opera." She has performed in over 100 plays, with representative works including Chen Sanliang, Jing Chai Ji, Qin Xianglian, Xianglin Sao, and Qiantang County. In 1959, the play Chen Sanliang was adapted into a film by Changchun Film Studio as an art film.
