Features: They threw Reynard the Fox into the middle of the fish basket and set off with laughter. It goes without saying that everyone could guess how happy Reynard the Fox was laughing in the cart! Reynard the Fox barely had to move his body. He slightly stretched his neck and quickly bit open a fish basket without making a sound. The feast began then, and soon over thirty herring were in his belly. After eating his fill, Reynard the Fox didn’t want to run away. He gently spun around in the cart and then used his teeth to bite open another fish basket. It was a basket of eels. He tried one and thought this basket of eels was quite fresh, and that his family would not be harmed by eating them. He quietly piled several eels together, skillfully threading them onto a string and making a necklace, which he hung around his neck, preparing to take the eels home. Although he got off the cart very lightly, he still made a slight noise. The two fishmongers suddenly noticed the "dead" fox jump off the cart, still wearing a string of fresh fish around his neck, and were stunned into silence. "Good luck to you, friends!" Reynard the Fox mocked them, "You didn’t lose much, I only took a very small amount of fish." The two fishmongers realized they had been tricked by the fox and immediately jumped off the cart to chase after him. Although they ran as fast as they could, they couldn’t catch up to the nimble Reynard the Fox. Reynard the Fox easily escaped the chase and ran happily toward home. Hameлин had been waiting with great hope for a long time. P7-9
