There are no perfect individuals, only perfect teams—team collaboration can drive company progress. In the world, there are only perfect teams, not perfect individuals. Everyone's success relies on others and the organization, not just on themselves.
A large company wanted to hire four department heads. After several rounds of harsh exams, 16 people advanced to the final interview! This round was personally conducted by the CEO. The CEO asked the assistant to distribute the exam materials to each interviewee and said, "Congratulations on advancing to the final interview, but due to limited positions, we have to eliminate 12 of you. The exam this time requires each of you to complete a planning proposal based on the provided materials. Additionally, you will be free to form four groups, with each group consisting of four members. Now, please freely form your groups, and then develop your proposals as a team!"
After 2 minutes, the 16 interviewees freely formed four groups: Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D.
30 minutes later, the assistant delivered the planning proposals from each member of the four groups to the CEO. After careful consideration, the CEO officially announced, "The four members of Group D are hired!"
Then, the CEO said, "The reason the four members of Group D were hired is that the materials of the first three groups' members were all different. Only the members of Group D studied each other's materials, so their planning proposals were more comprehensive. The members of the other groups only focused on their own tasks, so their planning proposals were very one-sided."
Finally, the CEO said, "Team-oriented individuals are what our company urgently needs!" P25
