What does a leukorrhea picture look like

Patient's question:

No

Doctor's answer:

Hello! Normal leukorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, slightly fishy or odorless. Its secretion volume and texture are influenced by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, exhibiting cyclical changes in amount (more or less) and consistency (thinner or thicker) throughout the menstrual cycle. Generally, leukorrhea decreases after the menstrual period. Before ovulation, as estrogen levels rise, cervical glandular epithelial cells proliferate, leading to increased secretion of cervical mucus. The sodium chloride content in the mucus also increases, allowing it to absorb more moisture. During ovulation, leukorrhea becomes more abundant, thinner, clearer in color, and appears like egg white, which can be stretched into strands.
