What to pay attention to after a cesarean section

Patient's question:

No

Doctor's answer:

Not recommended to lie flat: After the anesthetic effect wears off post-surgery, the wound will feel painful, and the supine position is most sensitive to uterine contraction pain. Therefore, it is advisable to adopt a side-lying position, forming a 20-30 degree angle between the body and the bed. Place a blanket or sheet behind you to reduce the vibration and pulling pain on the incision when moving.
Not recommended to lie still: Once consciousness returns post-surgery, limb movement should be initiated. After 24 hours, practice turning over, sitting up, and slowly getting out of bed. This can enhance gastrointestinal motility, promote early (bowel movement), and prevent adhesion or thrombosis that may lead to embolism in other parts of the body.
Not recommended to overeat: Overeating after laparoscopic surgery can cause bloating and increased abdominal pressure, which is not conducive to recovery. Therefore, fasting is recommended for the first 6 hours post-surgery, followed by gradually increasing food intake.
