Can milk expressed at different times be combined and consumed?

Patient's question:

Hello expert, my wife is 22 years old this year, and she has been postpartum for 2 months. May I ask if breast milk expressed at different times can be mixed together to drink?

Doctor's answer:

Time periods that are similar are acceptable, but it is best not to have them below one day, as it is not good for the baby's health. If you express some breast milk, you can mix breast milk from similar expressing times. If you express 30 ml of breast milk, you need to let it dissolve first before adding it to the frozen breast milk. Note that only cold milk can be mixed with cold milk, or cold milk can be mixed with frozen milk. If there is breast milk that has not been finished, do not store it again for feeding the baby.
