Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-oriented and virtue-based," forming a distinctive approach to nurturing students that emphasizes both "comprehensive development and special talents." It has developed a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, refinement, uniqueness, and innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality education, representing only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to nurturing students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What ability does it have to turn sand into a tower? What skill does it have to transform ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intentions of test-setters and deeply understand the underlying principles, positioning itself as a leader rather than a blind follower.
Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates that students break free from it. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to tackle flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving.
If there is any other success Huanggang High School has achieved, it is that while cultivating and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged a strong team of teachers, including renowned educators celebrated in Hubei Province. These teachers possess deep scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam Second and Third Round Training Materials."
The "Huanggang High School Homework Books" series is based on the "Teaching Syllabus" and "Exam Guidelines," highlighting the role of "homework" in helping students develop learning, problem-solving, and exam-taking abilities. It reflects the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' exceptional performance in various exams and their rigorous daily practice. This series features a carefully designed format, including four major sections: "Knowledge Summarization," "Typical Examples," "Pre-Class Warm-up," "In-Class Homework," "After-Class Homework," and "College Entrance Exam Online," all aimed at reinforcing skills and improving abilities.
The series also includes the following features:
1. Appropriate Exercise Placement: The explanations and exercises in this series focus on consolidating and progressively enhancing the key points, types, and methods related to each topic. The series is positioned to help students elevate their problem-solving skills through progressive, ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive exercises.
2. Moderate Difficulty Gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and advanced questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of most middle schools. Most questions are labeled with difficulty levels (A, B, or C) in advance, ensuring clarity and appropriateness.
3. Detailed Solution Tips: The answers at the back of the book are well-balanced, with more detailed solutions provided for difficult questions. It is worth mentioning that the insightful hints included sometimes play a pivotal role in guiding students toward the correct solution.
This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' questions, with rigorous review and proofreading processes to ensure excellence. Our goal is to create a standout in the educational supplement market.
