Features: This book is revised based on the edition, following the "Basic Requirements for Organic Chemistry Course Teaching in Higher Industrial Schools (130~140 hours)" approved by the State Education Commission in 1985. The book still adopts a mixed writing system for aliphatic and aromatic compounds. Compared to the edition, the main changes in this book are: moving stereochemistry before haloalkanes, making β-diketones a separate chapter; adding selected materials on organic synthesis, pericyclic reactions, mass spectrometry, and ultraviolet spectroscopy after the main text; and not including answers to exercises at the end of the book. This book can be used as a teaching material for chemical engineering majors in higher industrial schools, and can also be referenced by teachers and students in related fields.
