How should newborn pneumonia be treated?

Patient's question:

Due to not being in particularly good physical condition, the child had difficulty being born. For about 10 minutes, it was monitored that the child's heart rate decreased. Then, oxygen was given to the wife. A neonatal doctor entered the delivery room to assist with the delivery. Later, the child's heart rate returned to normal. The doctor immediately performed warming, intubation, and sputum suction.

Doctor's answer:

Hello. Pneumonia. The child has hypoxia. Currently, the child is young, and the symptoms are not obvious. It is necessary for the child to be older to notice the symptoms. Cerebral palsy usually occurs before birth or in infancy. The causes include: birth injuries, neonatal jaundice, brain hypoxia; premature birth, etc. The main symptoms are increased muscle tone, difficulty with abduction. In severe cases, muscle rigidity, spasms, and joint flexion can be observed. In mild cases, poor fine motor skills in the hands and inability to place the heels on the ground when walking can be seen. These patients often have language development and dysarthria as well as strabismus. About one-third of patients have varying degrees of seizures and intellectual disabilities. Cerebral palsy can cause delayed motor development. If the child is not active after 3 months of birth and is not very active, there is no crawling movement of hands and feet when prone; the hands remain tense after birth at 4-6 months; there may be agitated gait, scissor gait, etc.
