Patient's question:
NoDoctor's answer:
If you need a hysterosalpingogram, this is similar to the fluid infusion test, except that the hysterosalpingogram adds a contrast agent on top of the fluid infusion and takes some X-ray images. The process is the same. Since the fluid infusion uses anti-inflammatory medication, if there is a case of blocked fallopian tubes or if there is a case of blocked but not fully blocked fallopian tubes, you may still feel some discomfort or pain. However, if everything is smooth, there won't be any pain. But this pain is bearable. After the fluid infusion, resting for a few minutes will help you recover.
