How to Self-Examine Your Breasts

Patient's question:

No

Doctor's answer:

Look at the mirror with your arms hanging down, carefully observe whether both breasts are symmetrical in size, if there are any abnormal protrusions, and if the skin and nipples have any indentations or eczema.
Lift your left hand to the back of your head, then use your right hand to examine your left breast. Lightly press the breast with the palm of your hand to feel for any lumps. Start from the nipple and move in a circular motion in a clockwise direction, gradually moving outward (about three or four circles), until the entire breast is checked. Repeat the same method to check your right breast.
Lie flat on your back, place a pillow under your right shoulder, and bend your right arm under your head. Repeat the "touch" method to check both breasts.
Gently squeeze your nipple with your thumb and index finger, paying attention to any abnormal discharge.
