How to deal with underdeveloped brain

Patient's question:

Because I feel the baby's head isn't very stable, plus the thumb-in-cupping, when lying face down, the head tilts to one side and the sense of balance is poor. The left hand can't hold things, and the coordination between the left and right hands is not good. The baby can't roll over. When I went to the hospital for a check-up, it was diagnosed as developmental delay. What should I do?

Doctor's answer:

Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Therefore, any condition that can obstruct blood circulation and gas exchange between the mother and fetus, or lead to neonatal arterial hypotension and venous congestion, may cause cerebral ischemia-hypoxia, resulting in brain damage and subsequent cerebral palsy. The causes include:
1. Maternal factors: Such as pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, heart failure, severe hemorrhage, anemia, shock, or drug overdose.
- Placental abnormalities: Such as placental abruption, placenta previa, placental infarction, or placental dysfunction.
- Towel cord flow obstruction: Such as cord prolapse, compression, knotting, or (wrapping around the neck).
- Circulatory failure: Such as polycythemia.
