Features: Since the 1980s of this century, an increasing number of people from other ethnic groups have been studying Tibetan Buddhist logic (Yi Ming). This is a positive phenomenon and truly uplifting. With a sense of gratitude, I very much wanted to write a book specifically introducing the transmission of Yi Ming in the Tibetan region, in order to provide a reference for the study of Tibetan Buddhist logic. Of course, writing such a book requires sufficient historical materials, and this condition is difficult to meet in the short term. After Dignaga, Yi Ming was incorporated into the Buddhist system, and thanks to the Tibetan people's profound interpretation and vigorous development, this system has become increasingly invincible. There has never been a dedicated Tibetan history of Yi Ming. Although there are various histories of Tibetan Buddhism, those that mention Yi Ming are often very brief, and many events of Buddhist masters related to Yi Ming are not recorded in history. The content of this book is divided into three chapters:
1. "Background of the Transmission of Yi Ming in Tibet," which details the decline of Yi Ming in India along with the decline of Buddhism and the reasons for it, as well as the social conditions of Tibet when it was introduced at that time.
2. "Historical Periodization of the Transmission of Yi Ming in Tibet," divided into two parts: the initial transmission during the early flourishing period and the subsequent transmission during the later flourishing period. The subsequent transmission is further divided into four stages: revival, widespread dissemination, research, and development. Typical figures and representative works of each period are discussed.
3. "Characteristics of Tibetan Buddhist Logic," introducing four aspects: advocating the development of Dignaga's teachings, creating the Duiza-style learning method, establishing the Apoha-style, and reorganizing the Yi Ming system.
