Patient's question:
Child, complete placenta previa, Cesarean section, mild amniotic fluid contamination, respiratory slowing and cyanosis appeared after establishing spontaneous breathing postnatally, with hypoxia. Discharged after five days of hospitalization. What further treatments or rehabilitation exercises are needed, how long will they last, and what is the probability of full recovery?Doctor's answer:
Hello. The child is young. The symptoms are not obvious. CT can be deferred for now. The following information can be compared: Cerebral palsy usually occurs before birth or in infancy. The causes include: birth injuries, neonatal jaundice, hypoxia; premature birth, etc. The main symptoms are increased muscle tone, difficulty with abduction. In severe cases, muscle rigidity, contracture, and joint flexion can be observed. In mild cases, poor fine motor skills in the hands and inability to place the heels on the ground when walking can be seen. These patients often have language development and dysarthria as well as strabismus. About 1/3 of patients have varying degrees of seizures and intellectual disabilities. Cerebral palsy causes delayed motor development. If the child is still not active after 3 months of birth and is not very active, there is no crawling movement of hands and feet when prone; the hands remain tense after 4-6 months of birth.
