Follow-up is conducted 3 to 6 months after iodine treatment, with the same follow-up items as those prepared before treatment. When the DTC metastatic lesions show complete loss of 131 iodine uptake, it is considered cured. The patient is advised to take thyroid hormone long-term and undergo an annual check-up. If the examination reveals that the metastatic lesions still have 131 iodine uptake, a second course of 131 iodine treatment is administered until complete elimination is achieved. The two courses are generally separated by more than 3 months.
