Features: The Introduction to Development Strategy is a book compiled based on our many years of teaching and research, combining domestic and international latest research findings. It discusses development strategy from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Since the concept of "development strategy" was proposed in the foreign world in 1958, it has gradually evolved into an academic discipline. China began in-depth research on this discipline in the 1970s, and some of its research findings have significant importance in guiding the economic, social construction, and development of our country. What is development strategy? Generally speaking, development strategy emphasizes the important role of economic development in the overall development of society, and it is a strategy that encompasses all parts and levels of the economy and society, as well as a comprehensive plan and effective control for the long-term development of the economy and society. As a science, the research content of development strategy is very broad. In terms of levels, China's first and second generation development strategies fall under the macro-national development strategy category. In addition to macro-development strategies, it also includes meso-level (e.g., regional) and micro-level (e.g., enterprise) development strategies. This book starts by exploring the theoretical foundations of development strategy, with a focus on analyzing the micro-strategies within it. The book is divided into two parts, with a total of ten chapters. The first part is the general theory, which summarizes the theoretical issues related to development strategy; the second part is the specific theory, which discusses the development strategies of five aspects: regional, urban, industrial, enterprise, and social undertakings.
