Features: After the 2006 local middle school entrance exams (MSEE), experts from the new MSEE research group conducted a thorough analysis and summary of over 200 sets of exam papers from various regions. Based on this, they referred to the opinions of national new curriculum academic assessment test question evaluation experts and MSEE participating question-setters and graders from various regions. After selecting approximately 40 representative test papers, they invited MSEE experts from various regions to explain the answers, which were then compiled into this book. Since its publication in 2004, this book has consistently ranked first on the best-selling educational supplement list of "Kaijuan" and has received praise from readers and attention from newspapers, websites, and other multimedia platforms. Every year, it is recommended by teaching and research sections, schools, and teachers in Beijing, Hebei, Sichuan, and other regions as essential practice materials for 9th-grade students during summer and winter vacations and for MSEE preparation. Many readers have also expressed their gratitude and anticipation through emails, phone calls, and other means. With the trust of numerous teachers, parents, and candidates, supported by a strong group of experts, we improved the 2007 edition of the book. First, detailed explanations and hints were added to the test paper answers. Second, the selection process involved repeated deliberation and evaluation, skillfully arranging the test papers to best suit candidates' study habits. Third, some main subjects were changed to an 8-opening binding. All the experts and teachers involved in the selection and explanation of the book demonstrated great responsibility and enthusiasm, which put us under unprecedented pressure. We were afraid that our negligence might affect the candidates' study effectiveness and fail to live up to the trust of candidates in "Tianli 38 Sets." Therefore, all members of the book editing team remained vigilant and strived to make the revised book as helpful as possible for candidates' study and preparation.
In 2007, the MSEE in new curriculum experimental areas will be promoted in most regions across the country. Experts unanimously agree that MSEE question-setting will still follow relevant opinions and spirit from the Ministry of Education, adhere to curriculum standards, and feature more diverse subjects, formats, time durations, score distributions, content requirements, and question types, closely linking to real-life situations. The number of innovative, exploratory, and open-ended questions requiring candidates to flexibly apply their knowledge to analyze and solve problems will also increase. MSEE question-setting in various regions will become more standardized and scientific. Based on these characteristics, candidates are required to not only practice with their local MSEE papers but also do more from other regions and expose themselves to various question formats to the greatest extent possible to master the basic assessment content and requirements.
Candidates who study according to the Ministry of Education's MSEE opinions, curriculum standards, and the assessment content and requirements of their local regions, and who firmly grasp foundational knowledge and comprehensive abilities, will certainly be able to handle any MSEE format with ease.
