Patient's question:
NoDoctor's answer:
It's not the same thing. It's best to have the check-up at 6 months of pregnancy. 4D ultrasound is to examine the overall development of the child, not just the heart, but all organs. All organs from head to toe are checked. However, for the heart, it does not perform a detailed screening for fetal heart abnormalities. It can diagnose and provide treatment recommendations for some minor abnormalities. Therefore, in general, we ask patients to have a 4D ultrasound first to check the fetus, and if there are any heart problems with the fetus, further detailed heart examinations are conducted.
