What are the treatment methods for enuresis?

Patient's question:

My baby has enuresis and wets the bed every day. I want to ask what are the treatment methods for enuresis?

Doctor's answer:

Enuresis is what we call bedwetting, and it is more common in children. Generally, only 20% of children experience enuresis by the age of 4, and 5% by the age of 10. In a small number of cases, enuresis symptoms may persist into adulthood. Patients with enuresis should engage in more bladder function exercises. They should drink more water during the day and try to extend the interval between two urinations as much as possible, which helps increase urine volume and gradually expand bladder capacity. Patients are encouraged to interrupt urination during the process, count from 1 to 10, and then finish urinating to enhance the control of the bladder sphincter. Medication can also be used to treat enuresis.
