Features: To further flourish China's civil law, it is essential to focus on the following aspects: , carry out research in a targeted manner in line with the development of China's socialist market economy, particularly in-depth, detailed, and solid research on major theoretical issues in China's legislative and judicial practices. Second, to enhance exchanges and encourage academic debate. Learning is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also about questioning, and academic progress comes from continuous debate and challenge. Therefore, civil law scholars should regularly engage in exchanges, discussions, and mutual learning. Only in this way can our civil law research truly improve. Third, to encourage creative research and promote original studies. The original research mentioned here does not mean that all viewpoints and ideas are entirely original and have never been expressed by others, but rather refers to the unique perspectives and insights proposed after careful thinking and in-depth research, which hold value for the development of the nation and society. Fourth, in terms of research methods, we should focus on absorbing and adopting new and effective research methods, such as those from economics and sociology.
After the establishment of the society, it was unanimously hoped that the society should have its own academic publications, which would facilitate mutual exchanges and showcase the latest research achievements in civil law to society. After repeated discussions, the society decided to establish the China Civil Law Annual. As the society's inaugural academic publication, it will be supported by the Civil Law Research Association of the China Society of Law, aiming to showcase the annual research achievements of China's civil law scholars, provide an academic platform for civil law scholars, and enhance academic exchanges. All articles in this journal are original and reflect the high level of civil law research for that year. In the future, the society will prioritize selecting outstanding papers for awards from the annual.
This book includes: A Review of Civil Law Research in China in 2005, Key Issues in Civil Law Studies in China in 2005, Papers on Civil Law Studies in China in 2005, and Major Events of the Civil Law Research Association of the China Society of Law in 2005.
