What happened after the surgery for the Bartholin's gland cyst? Another lump has formed. How to respond?

Patient's question:

No

Doctor's answer:

Generally, the treatment involves ostomy surgery or abscess incision. Traditional ostomy surgery results in significant bleeding and trauma, requiring hospitalization. After this surgery, inflammatory scars are prone to form locally, and recurrence is common. Currently, the following methods are more commonly used:
Percutaneous tube ostomy. This method has minimal trauma, less bleeding, and can still be performed if there is superficial infection on the abscess surface. It preserves the physiological function of the greater vestibular glands and maintains the normal shape of the vulva.
After 14 days of postoperative swelling, the soft tube is removed. The stoma appears free of hard nodules or scars.
After treatment, the vulvar area should be kept clean and hygienic. Avoid wearing synthetic underwear, change underwear frequently, and prevent contamination from vaginal secretions, urine, and feces.
