Qin Feng Han Yu - Zizhi Tongjian (First Series) (Bai Yong's Colloquial Version) (Complete 4 Volumes)

Author: Sima Guang (compiled), Bao Yang (translated)
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-07-01
Features: Zizhi Tongjian is a monumental historical work that condenses the political actions and power struggles of ancient China. It is a must-read for ancient emperors to learn from the past and govern wisely. Nine hundred years later, Mr. Bao Yang spent ten years (1983-1993) translating it into modern language, personally redrawing maps, and infusing his own perspectives to discuss the causes and consequences of historical success and failure. This made a history book originally intended only for emperors and generals so accessible and relatable to readers today.
