Features: The Chinese-originated higher education self-study examination is both a national examination system and an educational form that combines individual self-study, social assistance, and national examination. Since its establishment in the early 1980s, it has enabled many self-study learners to obtain associate and bachelor's degrees. This tuition-free, widely adaptable, and high-quality "university without walls" has been well-received by people from all walks of life and has attracted global attention. To further improve it and help more citizens achieve their educational aspirations and the pursuit of success, the National Self-Study Examination Office has established the "Comprehensive Higher Education Self-Study Examination Q&A Network," aiming to provide authoritative and practical assistance to self-study learners through modern high-tech means. Since its launch, the network has been highly praised by a broad range of self-study learners. However, due to objective limitations, most candidates currently cannot access online tutoring but still urgently require assistance from the Q&A network. Therefore, in response to their requests, we have further refined the teaching courses of the Q&A network and organized the compilation of this "Q&A Series." The fundamental purpose of this series is to help candidates in their studies, striving to embody the following features:
1. Clarifying the Framework, Guiding Learning Methods
To master a subject, the key lies in understanding its unique knowledge system and structure, forming a clear framework overall. On this foundation, you can "fill in" basic facts and theories in a way that makes learning accessible, memorable, and applicable. Only by mastering these methods can you unlock the treasure trove of knowledge in that discipline, achieving both knowledge acquisition and skill development. Based on this guiding principle, the "Q&A Series" focuses on guiding learning methods and enhancing self-study abilities.
2. Highlighting Key Points and Solving Doubts
When first encountering a subject, learners often struggle to identify key points and difficulties, leading to uneven effort and inefficiency. To address this, the "Q&A Series" not only clearly identifies the key points for self-study learners but also summarizes frequently encountered questions around these key areas and provides detailed explanations. Since these questions largely come from Q&A network users, they are highly representative, and their answers will undoubtedly benefit learners.
3. Combining Study and Practice, Linking Theory to Reality

As a practitioner in higher education self-study examinations, I have a responsibility to remind candidates not to be discouraged: Use the "Q&A Series" only after thoroughly studying the syllabus and textbooks. Relying solely on last-minute memorization of materials to pass exams is not advisable, as it has led many astray. "Guided by the syllabus" is the fundamental principle that self-study learners must follow.
