Patient's question:
Hello, I originally had a child who was not kept due to personal reasons. At four months, I had a D&C procedure, and since then, I have not been pregnant again. Over a year ago, I had an ultrasound, and the local doctor said everything was fine, but I can't find the photos anymore. In May of this year, I went to Cangzhou Second Hospital to check for three-month-old follicles, and they all ovulated, but my periods are not very regular, and the follicles grow quite slowly. After taking Clomiphene for a month to induce ovulation, four follicles grew, but only one mature follicle was released.Doctor's answer:
Ultrasound suggests the endometrial thickness is acceptable, but there are cystic septations with liquid hypoechoic areas in the adnexal region, which cannot be ruled out as fallopian tube hydrosalpinx. It is possible that the fallopian tubes are adhesed and not functioning properly due to a miscarriage, leading to infertility. If repeated ovulation monitoring shows ovulation with normal semen parameters but still infertility, the issue should still be considered related to the fallopian tubes. The main treatment options are laparoscopic surgery or in vitro fertilization (IVF). If you choose IVF, as long as your weight is within the normal range, it is fine—though losing some weight would be beneficial. Wishing you a successful pregnancy! Happy holiday!
