How to treat uterine fibroids without having given birth

Patient's question:

Discovered a uterine fibroid, notified for hospital admission. Resigned and returned home two weeks later. Stayed at home for a week, then went to the hospital for an ultrasound which indicated fetal demise. When returning home, I carried a lot of things and was unclear about the reason. The ultrasound showed the uterine fibroid on the right side, and the fetus on the left side.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, as you mentioned, generally, if the tumor is less than 5CM, medication can be used to control the growth of fibroids. If it exceeds 5CM, doctors will recommend surgical treatment. Usually, a single fibroid can be removed through surgery. For multiple fibroids, and if the patient has not yet entered menopause, doctors may recommend hysterectomy to prevent the fibroids from growing again.
