Features: The "Multifunctional Dictionary for Primary School Students" is a professional dictionary designed for primary school students and primary school Chinese language educators. In selecting the meanings of words and phrases, we adopted the principle of "convention," while referring to multiple authoritative dictionaries and lexicographical works such as the Contemporary Chinese Dictionary, Ci Hai, Zhonghua Dictionary, Students' Standard Dictionary, and Contemporary Chinese Standard Dictionary. The meanings of most words appear in the Primary School Five-Year Chinese Curriculum and Primary School Six-Year Chinese Curriculum textbooks published by the People's Education Press, as well as in primary school Chinese supplementary reading materials. Additionally, we have included some meanings that extend beyond the textbooks but are essential for primary school students to understand and master, while omitting obscure meanings and those with strong formal or literary connotations. The definitions are kept simple and easy to understand, generally not exceeding the level required by the primary school Chinese teaching syllabus. Words and phrases that are often misspelled, mispronounced, or misused are compiled in the appendices at the back of the book. To assist primary school students in understanding and mastering words and phrases, we have invited several painters from the Central Academy of Arts and Design and the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts to create over 200 illustrations tailored to the characteristics and learning abilities of primary school students. These illustrations make the dictionary visually engaging, vivid, and more suitable for primary school students to read and use.
