However, when you want to send it again, it’s already too late. Could she just be the one delivering letters, decorating others’ love stories? Or will she reclaim the long-delayed happiness in others’ delayed replies? Zhili, a girl about to graduate from school, loves to run freely, wears slacks all year round, and enjoys chocolates like green olives. Because she participated in the filming of a movie titled It’s Too Late to Receive Your Letter during the summer vacation, a series of strange emotional stories were triggered. First love, lost love, reunion, encounters, coming together and parting, misunderstandings—a love story left unfinished, leaving a silent waiting; a figure that appears and disappears and a sound that swirls in the night weave another suspenseful romance. The story in the movie intertwines with several delayed letters in reality, real yet illusory, mysterious and confusing.
