Features: To better adapt to the needs of building an innovative nation and cultivating top-tier innovative talents, further improve the quality of graduate student selection, and expand the autonomous power of universities in admissions, the Ministry of Education proposed key reforms in the graduate student admission examination system during the "11th Five-Year Plan" period, based on the review of China's graduate student admission practices during the "10th Five-Year Plan" period and international experience. These reforms include three aspects: reform of the postgraduate entrance examination system, reform of the preliminary examination system, and reform of the recommendation system for exemption from the preliminary examination, with the preliminary examination reform being the top priority. The basic requirements for preliminary examination reform are to continue strengthening the postgraduate entrance examination's focus on assessing professional knowledge and practical skills while further streamlining and optimizing the preliminary examination subjects, reforming the preliminary examination content, and making the preliminary examination more focused on assessing candidates' basic qualities, general abilities, and basic academic literacy.
The "Examination Syllabus" clearly defines the scope, methods, and requirements of the examination, serving as the fundamental basis for examination question setting and candidates' accurate preparation for the exam. In line with the reform requirements, the scope of assessment for Western Medicine Comprehensive and Traditional Chinese Medicine Comprehensive has been expanded. The Traditional Chinese Medicine Comprehensive covers Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Diagnosis of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Materia Medica, Formulas of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, with new content added to Acupuncture and Moxibustion. The Western Medicine Comprehensive covers Physiology, Biochemistry, Internal Medicine, and Surgery, with the addition of Diagnostics to Internal Medicine.
