Features: The National Folk Musical Instrument Performance Assessment Activity is an important event conducted for the public, organized by the Chinese Folk Music and Instrument Association and approved by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China. Its purpose is to: promote the excellent national culture of our country, facilitate the popularization, development, and prosperity of Chinese folk music and instrument art, inspire young people's enthusiasm for learning to play Chinese folk musical instruments, thereby enhancing their musical and cultural literacy and cultivating their love for the national culture of their homeland. To better fulfill this sacred mission and facilitate the deeper and broader implementation of this activity across the country, we have organized experts from various disciplines to select and compile examination pieces for over ten types of instruments, including the huqin, pipa, and guzheng. The newly compiled Jinghu Examination Pieces consist of nine levels, with levels 1 to 3 being for beginners, levels 4 to 6 for intermediate players, and levels 7 to 9 for advanced players. The jinghu is the main accompanying instrument in Peking Opera and holds a very important position in Peking Opera music. It has a bright, high-pitched, and passionate tone, with a distinctive stylistic flavor that cannot be replaced by other instruments. The jinghu is a key factor in shaping the stylistic characteristics of Peking Opera music. As the lead instrument in accompaniment, it not only dynamically enriches the artistic expressiveness and emotional impact of the singing but also complements the performance, enhances the storyline, and sets the stage atmosphere.
