He is a renowned contemporary poet, journalist, art critic, and broadcast writer, with works such as A Concise History of French Painting and Contemporary American Art. The translator, Zhu Chun, was born in Shanghai in 1957. In 1991, he obtained a Master's degree in Literature from the China Academy of Art and has served as an associate professor in the Department of Environmental Art and Design at the China Academy of Art, a professor and vice president at the Shanghai Design Institute of the China Academy of Art, and is currently a professor and vice president at the College of Fine Arts, Shanghai Normal University.
