Features: Are you trapped in a state of sadness, tension, fear, or confusion, unable to extricate yourself, or are you seeking a haven for your soul to soothe your weary spirit? This is an unavoidable choice for modern people. Everyone would undoubtedly choose the latter in this question, as everyone pursues happiness and seeks to distance themselves from pain, which is the ultimate goal of their lives. However, in life, people often deviate from their choices and lose themselves due to setbacks, failing to find a haven for their souls and drifting aimlessly in the vast, boundless sea of darkness, crashing against rocks. Mental illnesses are increasingly troubling modern people! Some buy alcohol in bars just because they cannot cope with life's frustrations; some sink into reality, losing their life's ideals and living like cold machines; some even resort to death to escape, leaving pain for the living. Precisely for this reason, modern people need a haven for their souls to rest their weary spirits and release themselves. The haven for the soul is not elsewhere but within oneself; it must be sought within. Overcoming oneself and cultivating a successful personality is the best way to avoid psychological distress. Life is unpredictable, but the soul is steady. Let reason govern emotion, let emotions be relaxed and balanced, let expectations be moderate and composed, and let attitudes remain calm. Overcoming human weaknesses, overcoming psychological blind spots, and cultivating a successful spirit and qualities may pave the way for a smooth and prosperous life. Human Weaknesses That Hinder Mental Health 1. Inferiority as the Source of Decline In life, there are always people who feel "inferior in everything," whether in work or in life, they become disheartened, lose all hope, and lose the courage to strive and make progress. From a psychological perspective, this is an expression of inferiority complex. Inferiority is a character flaw, an emotion of self-disdain arising from excessive self-negation, produced through negative self-suggestion by the inferior person. Generally, those who feel inferior always belittle themselves, constantly feeling that they are no good at anything and that they are inferior to others. Once this emotion takes hold, melancholy, frustration, and anxiety follow. If they encounter even a small difficulty or setback, those with inferiority complex sigh deeply, become despondent and hopeless, as if all light and beautiful hopes are cut off from them. Upon careful reflection, inferiority is merely a futile form of self-torture, as it neither motivates nor empowers; it only damages one's body and mind, stealing one's dignity. The harms of inferiority to a person mainly include: (1) Affecting mental health. Among those with inferiority complex, negative emotions (such as sadness, fear, etc.) are common, and over time, this can lead to psychological problems or even psychological disorders. (2) Affecting physical health. Long-term inferiority can cause physiological changes, damaging various organs and leading to various diseases, such as peptic ulcers and hypertension. (3) Affecting social adaptability. Due to a lack of cognitive ability, those with inferiority complex struggle to handle problems correctly, making it difficult for them to get along with others or achieve success. Practical experience in real life also proves that those with severe inferiority not only fail to find happiness in life but also often achieve nothing in their careers. On the other hand, those who achieve great success are all people with broad minds and full confidence. The renowned scientist Li Siguang was able to open a new page in geological research precisely because his strong sense of responsibility and dedication drove him. Therefore, self-confidence and self-reliance are the internal determining factors of success and the spiritual factors that contribute to it. P1-3
