Features: Some men believe that raising children is a woman's job and that their only responsibility is to earn money to provide for their families. In reality, this view is extremely wrong. Children also need paternal love and comfort. Dads, please step into your children's world and give them more love.
Why do you punish me? As soon as Miles comes home, he complains to his dad: "Barber teacher's decision is so unfair!" Seeing his son's anger, Miles's dad thinks he must have encountered something upsetting. He sits beside his son, pats his head, and kindly asks, "Miles, can you tell dad what happened?"
"Barber teacher actually asked us to clean the school on Sunday—it's terrible!"
"Oh, I see. If it were me, I'd be very angry too!"
"Only because a few classmates were noisy during study time, she punished the whole class."
"You think it's unfair to punish the whole class just because of a few kids, don't you?" Miles's dad asks tentatively.
"Exactly! Don't you think so?" Miles asks his dad in confusion.
"This is really terrible. I understand how you feel. But have you thought about why Barber teacher punished everyone?"
"I don't understand. She must have been furious for not being able to catch the noisy kids during study time!"
"Oh, have you considered what would happen if Barber teacher asked the whole class who was misbehaving?"
"Of course not!" Miles shakes his head.
Miles's dad pats his son's shoulder and happily says, "Son, now you should understand why Barber teacher did that."
"Because Barber teacher doesn't know who was misbehaving, but she can't punish us innocent people for that reason!" Miles is still confused.
"Son, imagine if Barber teacher did this—would the misbehaving kids cause trouble next time?"
"Of course not. If they got the whole class in trouble, they'd feel really guilty."
Miles suddenly realizes.
"You should understand Barber teacher's intention now?" Miles's dad continues to ask.
Miles nods and says, "I do. And I won't blame Barber teacher anymore!"
Besides caring for their children in various ways, fathers should also pay attention to observing their children's small behaviors, stepping into their inner world, and then adopting different methods to guide, help, and better raise them. Many fathers who think they know it all don't truly understand their children because they don't spend time on this. Instead, they rely on their own assumptions to judge their kids. They'd rather spend time talking to friends about their children's misbehavior or dishonesty than have patient conversations with them. Such parents lack responsibility, and their actions are extremely foolish.
