Features: Algeria is located in the northwest of Africa, bordered to the south by Mauritania, Mali, and Niger, to the west by Morocco and Western Sahara, to the east by Tunisia and Libya, and to the north by the Mediterranean Sea. It overlooks Spain and France across the sea. Algeria is one of the gateways from Africa to the Mediterranean and a crucial link connecting Africa with the Arab world, holding significant strategic importance. Its borders are (zigzagged), forming an irregular pentagon. The country is rich in mineral resources, primarily oil, natural gas, and phosphates. Algeria and China established formal diplomatic relations in 1958. During the later stages of Algeria's war of national liberation, the Chinese government provided substantial moral and material support. In the 40 years following independence, the political relationship between the two countries remained strong and reliable, while economic ties continued to develop.
